Our Snuffer Lid is an essential and multi-tasking extra that we highly recommend buying with your fire pit. The lid will keep rain water and debris out of the fire bowl which will protect it. Also, crucially, the ash is dry for when you next light up. It also acts as a snuffer at the end of the evening so you know that you can safely leave hot embers to die out in your absence.

Accessorise your fire pit

Have a look at our Accessories section where you’ll find lots more useful extras for cooking over and managing your fire. Choose from our practical accessories such as our Fire Pit BBQ Gloves or the Ash Rake, which is great for moving hot embers around to facilitate cooking.

With so many recipe books on the market you can never be sure what will cater to you. Well, we love both Charred and Foolproof which are BBQ inspired books written by Genevieve Taylor. Charred being Veggie based and Foolproof for the meat lovers among us, there is something for everyone. Both are available to purchase via our accessories section.

Maintaining your fire pit

NB: All our fire pits, lids, and accessories will begin to rust immediately and will not maintain their black finish. However, this will not affect their long-term durability. As all our fire pits are handmade from sheet steel which has naturally occurring blemishes, there may be very slight variations in the forging and finish. Please click here for handy tips on the safe use and care of your fire pit and accessories.

Current delivery times – Fire pits: we aim to dispatch orders within 2 weeks from date of order / Indian fire bowls: within 5 working days of date of order.

Please note that our deliveries are classed as ‘kerbside’ which means the driver will not be able to carry the fire pit into your garden. If there is no one at home, they will leave the pallet or box in a safe location if available.

All orders qualify for free curbside shipping to United Kingdom
We ship smaller items via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Larger and heavier items are shipped via LTL freight.

Order Processing:

After your order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation from us. As soon as your order is placed, we begin processing the order and arranging shipping. In-stock orders typically ship within 3-15 business days after your order is placed. We do not guarantee shipping transit times.

Shipping Transit Times:

Most items take 3-15 business days to deliver after they have left the warehouse. Shipping transit times are not guaranteed - they are estimates based on our experience. Please note that Some items may be on a pre order status if thats is the case we will contact you.

We strongly advise you not to schedule contractors until your order is fully delivered and all items inspected.

Freight Shipping:

If your item is too big and/or too heavy to fight in a normal postal carrier vehicle, your product will be shipped via a freight carrier. We reserve the right to choose which freight carrier delivers your shipment.

Freight shipping is more complicated than a regular postal carrier delivery. Here are some important things to know about freight shipping:

You must be physically present to accept delivery. The freight carrier will either call to schedule a delivery appointment or notify you before delivery. Freight shipments are dropped off at your curb. The driver is NOT expected to deliver your items to your front door, garage, back yard, etc. It's a good idea to have other people there to help you move the shipment.

Extra charges may apply if redelivery needs to be arranged because nobody was at the delivery location. You must sign for the shipment upon acceptance.

How to season a gas grill for the first time

Unlock the Secrets of Grill Seasoning! 🔥🔧

Ever wondered what it means to season a grill? 🤔 No, it's not about sprinkling herbs and spices, but a crucial process known as 'curing.' Heating the metal grates, adding oil, and letting it cool helps protect your grill from rust and extends its life.

Why Season Your Grill Before the First Use?
When your brand-new grill hasn't met fire, neither have its grates. Seasoning is like training it for its inaugural feast. Uncoated grates, especially cast iron and carbon steel, are prone to rust without this protective process. Locking in oils not only prolongs their life but also enhances grill marks and imparts that smoky outdoor barbecue flavor we all love.

How to Season Your Grill for the First Time: 🌟

  1. Place your clean grate on the barbecue over medium heat: Clean brand-new grates or those collected dust need a quick kitchen cleanup. For used grills, a wire brush is essential.
  2. When hot, apply a small amount of oil: After 10 minutes of heating, apply oil evenly. Canola or peanut oil works best, but coconut or vegetable oil is fine. Turn the grill to high heat for 15 minutes to let the oil cure.
  3. Let the grates cool: Once the oil reaches its smoking point, turn off the barbecue, and let the grates cool. You may repeat the oiling process for a brand-new grill.
  4. Wipe away excess oil: After cooling, wipe any excess oil with a cloth or rag. Your grill is now seasoned and ready for action!

Let's break down the key differences with detailed bullet points and a helpful video link to guide you through the decision-making process.

Charcoal Grill:

Pros:

  • Flavorful Experience: Charcoal grills impart a distinct smoky flavor to your dishes, enhancing the overall taste.
  • High Heat Output: Capable of reaching high temperatures, ideal for achieving the perfect sear on meats.
  • Versatility in Fuel: Options like briquettes or lump charcoal allow for experimentation with different flavors.
  • Affordability: Charcoal grills are often more budget-friendly, making them accessible to a wide range of users.

Cons:

  • Longer Heat-Up Time: Takes more time to reach the desired cooking temperature compared to gas grills.
  • Temperature Control Challenges: Maintaining precise temperature control can be more challenging.
  • Cleanup Requirements: Disposing of ash and cleaning can be more involved.

Gas Grill:

Pros:

  • Quick Start: Gas grills heat up rapidly, allowing for almost instant cooking.
  • Precise Temperature Control: Offers more accurate temperature control, suitable for various cooking styles.
  • Convenience: No need to deal with charcoal; simply turn on the gas and start cooking.
  • Ease of Cleanup: Generates less mess, with minimal ash and residue.

Cons:

  • Flavor Differences: While convenient, gas grills may not provide the same smoky flavor as charcoal.
  • Higher Initial Cost: Typically has a higher upfront cost compared to charcoal grills.
