Tramontina TGP 6000 4-Burner Gas BBQ Grill with Side Burner and Accessories
It doesn’t get much better than enjoying the great outdoors with friends and family, and this
a state-of-the-art gas barbeque grill is the perfect piece of kit for all your outdoor cooking
requirements, enabling you to easily conjure up the most succulent and tasty dishes to enjoy.
Cutting-edge technology combined with a host of fabulous features, giving you a very versatile,
efficient, and safe outdoor cooking station.
Measuring 116.6cm high x 155.5cm wide and 58.4cm deep, it is made from highly durable stainless
steel and features four main burners with automatic ignition, which means that the barbeque will
ignite when you turn the knob to ‘ON’ with no outside power source being required, and the gas will
then ignite each burner with ease. It has individual controls for each burner, a thermometer for
temperature control, and also features a handy side burner which is great for preparing side dishes
such as pasta, rice, and vegetables or for keeping foods warm. This side burner is protected by a lid
which adds an extra element of safety as well as doubles up as an additional usable surface for
increased versatility.
The main cooking surface features an enamelled cast iron grill and a flat top which provides options
for different types of cooking. The grill allows for excess fats and oils to drain easily and collect in the
drip tray below. This tray is made from galvanised steel to avoid flames being created from the hot
fats. The flat top is great for smaller food items, stir frying etc, and there is also a raised grill section
which is ideal for keeping foods warm above the main cooking area. Although any dripping fat is
collected in the drip tray there is always the chance that fats may get splashed around in certain
instances when grilling, however, there are heat shields which protect the burners from any fat
accumulating on them and clogging them. This feature, along with the drip tray, combine to help
keep your grill cleaner and in better condition for long term durability. As well as the grilling options,
food can easily be smoked or roasted, simply by closing the lid.
Situated below the burners and cooking area is a spacious storage cabinet which is ideal for keeping
cookware, serveware, additional utensils, condiments and other items you regularly use when
grilling. Several utensils are also included – an 8” carving knife, a carving fork, a spatula, meat tongs
and a grill brush, and also a versatile removable wooden board which is perfect for all kinds of
cutting and prep work as well as being an attractive means of serving. There is an integrated hanging
area for keeping these, or other, utensils to hand, and as if that isn’t enough, this barbeque grill also
boasts some other clever features which adds to its appeal. The grill lid features a silicone handle for
added safety and comfort when opening and closing; there are two side handles and four wheels
which have high-resistance locks which means that it is very easy to move the grill around the garden
and safely place it wherever you want. With all these features and versatility, all you have to do is
cook and enjoy!
Care and Use: Please refer to the manual for assembly, usage and cleaning/maintenance

How to season a gas grill for the first time

Unlock the Secrets of Grill Seasoning! 🔥🔧

Ever wondered what it means to season a grill? 🤔 No, it's not about sprinkling herbs and spices, but a crucial process known as 'curing.' Heating the metal grates, adding oil, and letting it cool helps protect your grill from rust and extends its life.

Why Season Your Grill Before the First Use?
When your brand-new grill hasn't met fire, neither have its grates. Seasoning is like training it for its inaugural feast. Uncoated grates, especially cast iron and carbon steel, are prone to rust without this protective process. Locking in oils not only prolongs their life but also enhances grill marks and imparts that smoky outdoor barbecue flavor we all love.

How to Season Your Grill for the First Time: 🌟

      1. Place your clean grate on the barbecue over medium heat: Clean brand-new grates or those collected dust need a quick kitchen cleanup. For used grills, a wire brush is essential.
      2. When hot, apply a small amount of oil: After 10 minutes of heating, apply oil evenly. Canola or peanut oil works best, but coconut or vegetable oil is fine. Turn the grill to high heat for 15 minutes to let the oil cure.
      3. Let the grates cool: Once the oil reaches its smoking point, turn off the barbecue, and let the grates cool. You may repeat the oiling process for a brand-new grill.
      4. Wipe away excess oil: After cooling, wipe any excess oil with a cloth or rag. Your grill is now seasoned and ready for action!

Charcoal Grill vs Gas Grill: A Comprehensive Comparison

When deciding between a charcoal grill and a gas grill, it's essential to weigh the pros and cons to make the right choice for your outdoor cooking adventures. Let's break down the key differences with detailed bullet points and a helpful video link to guide you through the decision-making process.

      Charcoal Grill:

      Pros:

      • Flavorful Experience: Charcoal grills impart a distinct smoky flavor to your dishes, enhancing the overall taste.
      • High Heat Output: Capable of reaching high temperatures, ideal for achieving the perfect sear on meats.
      • Versatility in Fuel: Options like briquettes or lump charcoal allow for experimentation with different flavors.
      • Affordability: Charcoal grills are often more budget-friendly, making them accessible to a wide range of users.

      Cons:

      • Longer Heat-Up Time: Takes more time to reach the desired cooking temperature compared to gas grills.
      • Temperature Control Challenges: Maintaining precise temperature control can be more challenging.
      • Cleanup Requirements: Disposing of ash and cleaning can be more involved.

      Gas Grill:

      Pros:

      • Quick Start: Gas grills heat up rapidly, allowing for almost instant cooking.
      • Precise Temperature Control: Offers more accurate temperature control, suitable for various cooking styles.
      • Convenience: No need to deal with charcoal; simply turn on the gas and start cooking.
      • Ease of Cleanup: Generates less mess, with minimal ash and residue.

      Cons:

      • Flavor Differences: While convenient, gas grills may not provide the same smoky flavor as charcoal.
      • Higher Initial Cost: Typically has a higher upfront cost compared to charcoal grills.
      • Dependency on Fuel Source: Requires propane or natural gas, limiting portability compared to charcoal.

      Conclusion:

Choosing between a charcoal and gas grill is a personal decision based on your preferences and lifestyle. To help you visualize the comparison, watch this informative video: Charcoal vs Gas Grill Guide.
